The Asian American Health Coalition (AAHC) of the Greater Houston Area, dba HOPE Clinic, provides health care services to all regardless of patients’ ability to pay.
A unique characteristic of HOPE Clinic is its capacity to provide services in any of the 145 languages spoken in the Greater Houston area, including: Mandarin, Cantonese, Swahili, Korean, Burmese, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Spanish. HOPE Clinic staff speaks 31 different languages.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), HOPE receives HHS funding and Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. HOPE Clinic is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
